At Robinson Memorials, we extend our support to the brave men and women who have served our nation. Returned servicemen and women in New Zealand are entitled to complimentary or discounted memorials, a meaningful gesture to honour their sacrifice. In collaboration with Veterans Affairs, a branch of the New Zealand Defence Force, we facilitate this process seamlessly.
Serving those who served
New Zealand veterans with qualifying operational service and interment in a New Zealand services cemetery can receive a service memorial at no cost. For those interred in public or private cemeteries, Veterans Affairs generously contributes toward the memorial expense. This inclusive offering also extends to spouses or partners of New Zealand veterans, ensuring that their service and commitment are acknowledged with the dignity they deserve.
Applying for a service memorial is a straightforward process, facilitated through forms available on the Veterans Affairs website. We're able to assist in navigating this process, ensuring a seamless and respectful acknowledgement of your loved one's service.
For the interment of a returned serviceman in a services cemetery, Veterans Affairs covers the full cost of the memorial and its installation. In cases where interment occurs in a public or private cemetery, a contribution of up to $1000 is provided. Memorials in service cemeteries adhere to standardised inscriptions and messages, emphasising equality and uniformity. While additional personal messages may not be possible in service cemeteries, our team ensures the installation is completed within a timeframe of no more than eight weeks.
