We have a long history of producing top quality work that has stood the test of time for hundreds of Northland families, over many generations. Our quality work ensures your loved ones are remembered well, providing an everlasting tribute and a tangible expression of your love. All our memorials are engraved by our qualified stonemason, assuring you of the best quality granite, craftsmanship and service. We install headstones in any cemetery from Warkworth to Cape Reinga, and arrange installations by members of the New Zealand Master Monumental Masons Association anywhere else in New Zealand.
A memorial provides a focal point for you, your family, and future generations to visit. Even if you decide to scatter your loved one’s ashes it is still possible to place a memorial, giving the family a place to visit and remember at special times. We encourage you to come and meet the team, for a cup of tea and friendly, caring advice and guidance based on many years’ experience to help you work through your options – we really enjoy meeting new customers and we’re here to help!

Most Council administered cemeteries provide areas for burial, and cremation plots, where a concrete berm has been prepared in advance and the memorial can be erected on this. Most Councils have permit fees and bylaws and usually there are restrictions on the size and height of your memorial. We will advise you of these during our discussions and together we will help you work within the regulations.

There are many decisions to make about the design, colour, base, size, artwork and photos for your memorial. We will walk you through your options, explaining the many different designs, styles and sizes available. We can also customise a personalised design if you are looking for something more unique. Some cemeteries specify the type and size of memorials that may be used in a particular area, so we will advise you of any height or size restrictions and work within these guidelines.

While most people choose traditional black granite memorials with silver or gold lettering, we offer a wide range of coloured granites if you want something a little different.
We will also help you select a base, with options including a base with an inset flower vase and additional carved inscriptions.

To further enhance and personalise your memorial, you can choose to add a ceramic photo or carved designs and original artwork, undertaken by our qualified stonemason. To produce a ceramic photo, the image must be high resolution for a quality finish. Photos may be black and white or colour, and we can also isolate individuals in a group photo and change backgrounds. We always provide a proof and your original photo is returned to you. Ceramic photo finishes are very hard wearing and fade resistant.

Once the artwork and carving on your memorial is completed, we liaise with Council to schedule installation. Depending on the slope of the land, some levelling foundation work may be required. If the burial is in an area without a berm, a reinforced concrete footing will need to be constructed as a solid foundation for the memorial at an additional cost. It usually takes about 3 months from planning to installation, with specifically designed work taking from 6 to 12 months.
